False Advertising

She is a wolf in sheep's clothing...just so you know.

In one week she managed to:
  • fill her cow boots with cheese. Yes, cheese.
  • paint her toenails with purple nailpolish...all by herself. Then she proceeded to paint her toes, then her feet, her shins, all the way up to her knees.
  • oh...and paint a door and doorframe, too.
  • oh...and being so thorough...dump out the whole bottle of finger nail polish remover...every.last.drop.
  • give herself a refried beans facial while sitting on the table...which was set for dinner.
  • fill the battery compartment on the remote control with macaroni and cheese.
  • feed her baby brother toothpaste.
  • the goldfish incident.
  • dump an entire box of Kix onto the pantry floor.
  • jam a video and 3 dvd's into the VCR (yes, we still have a VCR, it's part of our DVD player)
  • scale the garage shelving so that she can reach the garage door button. over. and over. and over.

I know that there are some of you who are thinking..."Oh, she just needs to be monitored more closely..." and to you I say this:

"I hope you someday have a child like her...and if/when you do...I may laugh, but I will not judge you."

Have one. And I'll never judge. I just say I'm sorry and I understand.

Although it sounds like you have had an especially busy week. :) You'll be really glad you documented it. I'm sure it will be one of those things you'll look back on and chuckle. I know I was entertained just picturing all of it. :)

Oh my heavens!
I too have one, and would never dare judge I'll tell you that right now!!!
I'm quite sure her and my little Jones would get along quite well!
Sounds like she keeps you on your toes for sure, but that sweet little face makes up for a little bit of it!!!
Oh the joys...you will be glad you wrote it all down, and so will she!!

Makaty did those things?!? Are you sure?!? But she's so innocent-looking!

And you did see my mom and sister there last night. How cool is that? Now the two of us just need to meet.

Did you enjoy the show?

I LOVE how you ended this post.

So true, soooo true.

She really is too cute to get mad at though... :)

Oh, it's a good thing she and Lacie are no longer neighbors. I would be very afraid of the trouble they could get into! I'm sending you an email with a pic of Megan's nailpolish incident--just to make you feel better!

I am judging you and your lack of parenting, jeez what is the deal?! Ha! There more fun that way, really!

Oh so fun. Not for you, of course, but for us reading it! If anyone can tell you how to "more closely" moniter a child like that, just let me in on the secret! I feel your pain!

I just hope and pray that Jacyn doesn't decide to do all those things in one week. I have to say that I have had almost all of those things happen to me by at least one of my children, but not just one child doing it all. What a handful. You are such a great mom.

Oh.my. You're right about the false advertising though because she's cute. I have a friend who swears that the cuter they are the more trouble they are - they have to be extra cute to keep you from killing them!

I think I might have told you about the day I had tooth paste(new), vegetable oil(old), windex(new), peanut butter, and poop on the floor in one day. I'm just saying.... been there! And, I'm glad to see I'm not alone! It sucks though so for that I'm sorry.

Man, she is a riot, and you are an angel!

*Sigh*...that brings back so many memories of mine. Good thing they have defense mechanisms built right in...in the form of utter and absolute cuteness.

Oh. my. goodness. I know I've said it before but you are Supermom!!! I think I'd be an alcoholic if my kids did half of what MaKaty does. LOL Just keep in mind the amazing success she will be as an adult! All that creativity and gumption will get her very far!

She's just curious. Give her a break. :) When my 6-year-old was little he managed to get a large handful of goldfish crackers into the Xbox. Daddy was....well...not so happy!

AWESOME. I am preparing myself for such a child. Anna is all mover and shaker...and sometimes she gets this look in her eye...I don't know-- its kind of scary!
But you have had to know, that between you and Big Rick, that you would get a child like this!
